Rubber-to-metal components combine the elasticity and damping characteristics of rubber with the strength and dimensional stability of a metal insert.

The bond between both materials is created during moulding and vulcanisation and is critical to the long-term reliability of the finished component.

Insert Preparation

The metal component is prepared according to the product and bonding requirements.

Surface Preparation

The bonding surface is prepared to support reliable adhesion between the metal and rubber compound.

Insert Positioning

The insert is positioned in the mould to ensure correct component geometry.

Moulding & Vulcanisation

The rubber compound is moulded around the insert and vulcanised under controlled process conditions.

Finishing

The bonded component is removed from the mould and finished where required.

Inspection

Geometry, visual quality and bond integrity are checked according to component requirements.
